CALGARY – Police and relatives of a woman found dead in a Castleridge home on Monday have identified her as 31-year-old Amanda Antoni.

Emergency crews were called to a house in the 0-100 block of Castledale Way N.E. at around 3:45 p.m. When they arrived, paramedics found Antoni dead inside the home. Her cause of death remains unknown.

Antoni’s brother told Global News Amanda was a “phenomenal human being,” adding she will be remembered for all the “smiles she brought to people’s faces.”

Relatives have identified the victim in a suspicious death on October 26, 2015 as Amanda (Hogg) Antoni.

Antoni was originally from Carstairs, Alta. but had been living in Calgary since 2006. She was married to husband Lee in 2009, and family said the pair were the “best of friends.”

Lee was the one who discovered his wife’s body in their home. Police said Tuesday he is cooperating with investigators. The couple had no reported history of domestic abuse, and police confirmed they had not been called to their home in recent years.

Investigators are working with the Service’s Technological Crimes Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit to determine who Antoni was in contact with before she died.

An autopsy was expected to take place on Tuesday.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
